Ken Spence

Policy Consultant

Ken Spence joined the Senate Office of Research (SOR) in 2016 and works on public safety and social services. Before SOR, Spence was a consultant in the Speaker of the Assembly’s Office, covering public safety budget, housing, and the Select Committee on Boys and Men of Color. Prior to that, he was a consultant for the Senate Subcommittee on Invasive Species and a legislative assistant to Assembly Member Nathan Fletcher.
 
Spence received a doctorate in Entomology from the University of California, Davis, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish from Morehouse College.
