Elizabeth Dietzen Olsen

Elizabeth Dietzen Olsen joined the California Senate Office of Research in 2012 and works on public safety, judiciary, and governmental organization issues. Before SOR, Dietzen Olsen worked as counsel for the California Senate Judiciary Committee, handling civil rights and family law bills. Prior to that she was an assistant public defender for Sacramento county in the misdemeanor intake, juvenile, and conservatorships divisions. Before law school she worked for California Strategies and was a staff assistant to California Governor Gray Davis.

Dietzen Olsen holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine, and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar.
