Jill Rice

Jill Rice joined the California Senate Office of Research in 2022 and works on K-12 and higher education issues.  Jill has an extensive education policy background from her varied experiences in education.  Most recently, Jill was the Director of Government and External Relations for Educational Testing Service. Prior to that she served as a legislative advocate for the California Federation of Teachers, as a committee consultant for the Assembly Education Committee, an attorney for the State Board of Education and the California Department of Education, and a high school classroom teacher.

 

Jill holds a teaching credential from the University of Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA, a law degree from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA, and a bachelors degree in economics and political science from Willamette University in Salem, OR.
