Policy Consultant

Lisa Giroux specializes in education, and has staffed several select committees focusing on youth and education issues. Prior to joining the California Senate Office of Research in 2006, she worked as a consultant for California Senator Dede Alpert from 1993 to 2004 and as a consultant to the Senate Education Committee.

Giroux received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology at the University of California, San Diego, and a master’s degree in cultural anthropology from Princeton University.
