Sandra Nakagawa

Sandra Nakagawa joined the Senate Office of Research in 2019 and covers public health, developmental disabilities, rehabilitation, and aging/long-term care. Before joining the office, she worked for Assembly Member Mark Stone and was a 2018 California Council on Science and Technology science fellow in the Assembly Judiciary Committee.  Sandra received her Ph.D. in sociology from Stanford University and completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley with a double major in sociology and English, as well as a music minor.
