Policy Consultant
Daphne Hunt joined the California Senate Office of Research in 2012. She works on a variety of human services areas, including CalWORKs, CalFresh, and child welfare. Hunt previously worked as a senior research analyst at SEIU Local 1000. Prior to that, she worked in Boston as a research consultant and served as adjunct faculty in the Massachusetts State College system, teaching courses on poverty and social policy.
Hunt holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and English from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in social policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, and a master’s degree in community development from the University of California, Davis.
