Sandra Perez

Sandra Perez joined the California Senate Office of Research in 2014 after serving as the director of the California State Office of the Patient Advocate for six years. She completed her administrative residency with Kaiser Permanente, working with patient care, medical records, and the Community Health Partnerships program. She directed fellowship programs for the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento; consulted nonprofit health organizations; worked as a health educator for migrant farmworkers; conducted research at the University of California, Davis; and worked for the California State Assembly as staff to Speaker Willie L. Brown and Assemblyman Phil Isenberg.

Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in community health and nutrition from the University of California, Davis; a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Southern California; and a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University.
