Lenore A. Tate specializes in health and human services and joined the California Senate Office of Research in 2012. Previously she served as an assistant program director/associate professor for the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University. For more than 15 years, she worked for the California State Senate's and the State Assembly's Health and Human Services policy committees and was a government relations director for the public and private sectors.
A licensed psychologist, Tate received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Mills College, a master's degree in psychology from Howard University, a doctorate in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and her post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and geriatrics, which was funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.
