Megan Lane joined the Senate Office of Research (SOR) in 2016 and specializes in labor, elections, and constitutional amendments. Before SOR, Megan worked at a number of labor organizations where she bargained state, county, and school district contracts. She served as a labor relations representative for employees in the government and health care sectors. She also has worked for the San Francisco Division of Judges of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and clerked for AIDS Legal Services of the Silicon Valley Law Foundation.

Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Italian from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is a graduate of the Harvard University Trade Union Program.
